3D Modeling - Presspull or other commands

I understand the parametric nature of MV so far, but is there any way to "free-form" model within the 3D space? Similar to SketchUp's tools or like the presspull command in AutoCAD.

I tried presspull on a slab, but when redrawn it will revert to the original driven size outlined in the sub-assembly variables.

In other programs like Creo you can make a sketch and perform 3D operations on that sketch:
