Anyone cutting Solid Surface on a Nested CNC?

We are looking into the option of starting to cut Countertop blanks and shapes out on our Nested CNC.  I am wondering if anyone else is already doing this and could give us some pointers and tips.

We already have the basic setup running and were able to run a test.  But we ran into some issues.  While cutting the solid surface seemed to turn to “dust” but at the same time it got hot enough to almost re-fuse to the panel.  Attached are some pictures.  We are cutting on a Nested CNC and I wonder if you possible ran into this issue and could give us any pointers.

My current thoughts are since the nest has downward suction that is keeping the dust down on the board instead of going into the vacuum system.  Any insight would be appreciated.
