Assigning a Tool to a material type
Hello Everyone,
My CNC operator had a request for me.
What he would like to do is use Tool 2 (lets say) on Veneer sheets but use Tool 11 (lets say) on Melamine sheets. It would be the same Routing type and size just a different tool number. The reason for this is we have bits that last longer on different types of material.
Can anyone think of a way to get Microvellum to understand what tool to use on each sheet based on a sheet's type?
My first thought is, no. Sheet names are just names... but I have in the past built Dynamic materials that have a field in the wizard for the sheet type. Could I write a formula in the global's that reference a material field to change the tool number of each sheet.
Thanks for your thoughts!
