Autodesk Ends Support for Full Version AutoCAD 2007 – 2010

Autodesk Ends Support for Full Version AutoCAD 2007 – 2010

As of August 31, 2019, Autodesk® has officially ended support for all full version AutoCAD® 2007 and 2010 perpetual license software. Going forward, Autodesk will support all current versions of Autodesk Software and previous versions listed on their subscription and maintenance plan eligibility list – typically three versions back.

How Are Microvellum Users Impacted?

Microvellum users that still use Toolbox with Microvellum’s OEM 2007 or full version AutoCAD 2007, 2008, 2009, or 2010 with Microvellum Version 67 will no longer be able to activate or reactivate their outdated AutoCAD version.

While this initial end of support announcement from Autodesk only impacts users that have OEM 2007 or full version AutoCAD 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010, Autodesk’s Help Center explains that after March 2021 only the current version and previous three versions will be supported. (2020, 2019, 2018, 2017)

Important Note: One driving factor behind Autodesk’s decision to end support for these older versions of AutoCAD is that they are not supported by Windows 10. In the event a Windows update is run, the activation for these AutoCAD versions will be wiped out – leaving these clients with no way to reactivate AutoCAD. If this hasn’t happened yet, it will soon.

If you are using an AutoCAD version that is no longer supported, you need to contact your Account Manager as soon as possible to discuss options for moving forward. If you’re not sure who your account manager is, you can find their contact details in the Help/About section of any Microvellum software application.
