Best Way to Draw a Plan View of ALL Walls and Products?

When you try to choose more than one wall to Draw 2D Walls Plan View you get the "Please select walls that are all connected." dialogue. Why is this limited like that? And can I get around it without making a separate drawing of each wall and then meticulously combining them for one drawing?
