Bugle Guide

If something like this already posted somewhere I am sorry, just struggled with using bugles on PLINES and started understand it better, so figure I would share what I learned. If anyone has anything else to add please do.

Where to start:

A bugle will create an arc from one vector to another when drawing out a PLINE. So, to draw out the arc you need to have a start vector and an end vector. Below is an example of how this is done:

Here is the part and how I want to come out I added a 1-½” radius to the ends. You can also do this with another machine token, but I am using this for simplicity.

This is the blank part with my PLINE path. Where my arc will be I have a starting point and ending point. 3-4 and 5-6. Once you have the geometry for the PLINE you can add the Bugle list.

The bugle list marks which vector it need to add the bugle to in our case we need it on the start of arc. For us this is 3 & 5

The format for the list is as above. You mark each vector with a 0 what ever value you need for the arc. You can get these with the =GETBULGE() or =GETBULGEA() formula. For my case a – made a convex arc, and a + made a concave so flip these as needed.

I attached a PDF of this if you want it.
