One thing I've never been able to get right is the xref layer properties publishing correctly. I've spent a lot of time recently trying to debug it, and I'm now more convinced its a bug in SSM. I have background publishing disabled and am using the publish command through SSM. When I publish my drawing set as a PDF, the first page with an instance of the no-print layer will work correctly (not print that layer). But any subsequent instance in the drawing set will print anyways. I've tested this and it seems consistent, even when changing the pages that print. For example, if Page 4,5,and 6 are published, Page 5 won't work correctly. But, if Pages 5, 6 and 7 are published, Page 5 will be correct. All pages will work if plotted individually.
The two layers setup to no print are the 3D_Item and ZZ_DrawingGrid. Again, everything works fine when sheets are plotted individually, but not when published through SSM, or the Publish command.
I've tried many variations of the following system variables with no effect:
-XrefOveride
-VisRetain
-VisRetainMode
I also have the e-transmittal for the sheet set available if anyone is interested in testing on their end.
Hoping someone has a minute to look this over. I'm running 2022 OEM, but have had the same results on 2022 OEM. I have someone testing this on Full ACAD (No MV) now.
