Im working on a project where a base cabinet has a different drawer/edgeband color for the drawer faces than the doors. I have been able to get the drawer face material to be different by using material pointers, that one was easy. I also changed the edgeband pointer for the drawer faces but this didnt work. When digging deeper in the date I found the drawer face subassembly references a lookup table. I went to the appropriate lookup table in the specification group, found the correct field and made a tweak in the formula to get the result I wanted. 

I then checked a couple cabinets to see if everything was working and discovered that my changes didnt stick and had reverted back to the original formula in the lookup table. I tried several more times with the same result of it reverting back.

Im sure Im missing something easy but cant for the life of me see it.
