has anyone experienced this...

i have  some machining that uses a couple tools ( 1 inside cutout and a 900 tool to clean out corners) . it works just fine until i try to duplicate it. i copy a part with the machining and edit for size and the layer shows the correct tool and depth in the new part, but when they run the sheet it locks up the machine unless i go back and re-apply the tool to the paths...
