Customizing Wall Room Component

Before i start adjusting anything, i am looking for a bit more information. If i open the wall component thru the database explorer and add prompts and stuff to customize it better for what we need, will it get overwritten during a library update? If it will, am i able to create an new room component category "Custom" to prevent it from being over written? I know that works for the products, but i'm unsure if that works for the room components. I'm looking to customize the obstruction tab mainly as the prompts for the bulk head can be adjusted to better suite our needs. Are there any differences in creating prompts in that page vs the regular workbooks? I know that you must define a range for every prompt since there is no define name button. Other than that are there any pitfalls i may run into while trying this? Any insight on this topic would be appreciated. P.S. i have already made a copy of the Wall component so if i screw something up I can revert it back.
