CutRite Grain Matching/Perfect Graining

Hey ya'll,

For those importing Microvellum parts into CutRite, how are ya'll handling Grain Matching/Perfect Graining?

By default, it seems that Microvellum adds the grain matching info that CutRite needs ("2DRW:1", "2DRW:2", ect) to the finished faces subassembly comments, which then gets added to the parts list PTX file.

This is causing an issue with CutRite because all subassembly parts are having subassembly comments added to them in PTX file. For comments that are simply descriptive (not grain match info), CutRite throws an error because it's not a valid grain match code. The user then has to manually clear out all comments in the grain matching column before CutRite can proceed.

I could simply remove all subassembly comments other than grain match info, but I'd prefer not to because it's sometimes useful when working in the spreadsheets. We'd likely also have to do this every library update.

From my look into this, unfortunately, I think the "best" solution to this would be to delete all subassembly comments other than grain matching info, but if anyone has any better ideas I'd love to hear them!

I've thought about filtering the data in CutRite, but I'm not sure if this is possible. Also, maybe there's a better Microvellum field I can use instead of the subassembly comments, but it seems like the only other choice would be the individual parts comments, which wouldn't really solve the original issue.

Thanks!
