We are searching for another on-site Engineer and have developed a simple drawing test to screen whether candidates are capable of basic problem solving and AutoCAD, we ask them to draw the shape below. We give them as much time as they need, all necessary information is there. The problem is that we have yet to have someone successfully complete the task without several hints. These are people that claim to have been using CAD professionally for years. Do you think we are asking too much? It seems basic to me but maybe I am biased. I'm curious to know what others think and how long they think this should take to draw.
