Event log, logs too much stuff.

Event log, logs too much stuff.

Not necessarily a problem, more of an annoyance but I just cleaned out 3.5gb of event logs from the database and noticed there is a lot of stuff we don't need in there.

For the most part I like the event log but I feel like it's logging too much stuff.

A good example is every machine with Micromanager installed logs hundreds of these "Access to path C:\blahblah\WallPaper is denied" messages per day. Turns out that is only because the directory does not exist, adding that folder stops the messages...

Also, do we really need to create an entry each time a dialog box shows up?

Is there a way to automatically clean these messages out after x days? Or maybe simply reduce the amount of logging?
