A Couple Issues With MV: Face Frame VS Standard Biased (are we equal or not)

TOP TIP copy and paste this into ChatGPT and it will summarise it much better than i ever could and save you reading it all if thats your jam.

Who else in the face frame market feels that we are unfairly left behind when it comes to features and fixes? I'm getting tired of silly little reasons for not adding something. This morning i was informed that a new and now pre existing feature that was added 3 months ago, was not guaranteed to be added to the face frame library and i should make a new feature request, for a PRE EXISTING feature. I'm sorry but that makes no sense. The feature in question is just a couple of prompts for adding a LED strip in the hardware. Standard library get this. Face frame has not. This not the first time. The standard library got some new curved cabients a while back. Face frame got nothing. If spending the time to implement one thing, you may as well spend the time to implement it into both, whilst someones head is in the same gear and mindset it makes sense to.

We paid for the face frame upgrade. We are paying support customers. I assume we pay the same as everybody else, yet i'm not getting the same level of treatment as the standard cabinet makers. This feature in my testing should be a 10 minute fix at least it was in my testing with no errors again from my testing. I even spotted a couple of errors informed them so they can fix it, currently for the standard people, what do i get? Nothing, a pat on the back. Every time i update, i have a list of things i need to add or change to suit how we make things, thats fine, not everything can be added or applied, i get it. But this is a universal sub assembly, there is NO actual reason that i can see or anyone has told me as to why it cant be added to face frame, other than the fact, the face frame library is separate. Well yeah, we paid EXTRA for it.

We do get our monies worth with support, my account manager takes way more from me than he should, part of that is a time zone thing, i'm up at work a 6:30am, hes always up then as well, whilst across the pond is sleeping. He cant always help, sometimes just speaking to him sparks a thought thats enough for me to fix. Actual tech support is usually always there within 24-48 hours, once its got pass the whole ticket assignment system.

The voting system is unfairly biased to the masses again. Of course the face frame people are going to be out voted, and of course our way of making things will be even less so, but the current logic is, not enough votes, then it will NOT be implemented, but remember what i said earlier, we probably pay the same amount for support and maintenance. So how do i or we ever get something in place when we are always going to be the minority. We are either treated equally or not and that needs to be made clear and treated appropriately.  And that doesn't include the amount of current vs active users, i'm betting that less than 10% of active MV users are on the forum. Ive plucked that number out of thin air but prove me wrong, prove to me that this is an accurate way of measuring what we want, and who is actually speaking out and requesting rather than just fixing and never updating. Users come and go, people get bored of forums, why stick around when they dont get what they want. I'm fairly resilient and i use the resources available to me to get help, and i do my bit to help with my limited knowledge, where i can, but i'm growing tired of it and soon ill stop updating, and then you'll loose a customer.

The ONLY reason we have continued to pay is because sometimes i do need support to fix what MV has usually broken and ive not been able to find it, and because they have implemented things that ive asked for previously, but unfortunately that response this morning has tickled me, its un acceptable to not implement a feature for EVERYONE when it has no ties to being locked down in face frame or not, its in the main library, just spend 10 minutes porting it over like i have to, its done then.

I think some of us brits are used to doing the British thing and just getting on with it and not saying anything but not today i'm afraid.

Thanks
