I get asked a lot if there is a way to use double divisions in the Product Starter products. It would be great if this were an option.

If you're asking why this is necessary, there are companies that do not want parts with Face 6 machining. Depending on the division, you could have drawers on one side and shelves on the other. Instead of handling a part multiple times to run a Face 6 program, they'd rather just have two divisions. The justification: material is often cheaper than labor.

There are workarounds that can be done. For example, adding more openings and setting every other one to an opening width of 0.001. However, this can add extra steps in adjusting left and right overlays.

A Double Division subassembly is easy enough to create and save back to a library. The prompts are easy enough to add. But like I said, I get asked this a lot. It would be nice if the products were setup that way already.
