I would like for the optimizer to adjust the spacing between parts based on the machining or border tool defined for the material. I think that this could be accomplished with an additional setting in the Material Code for adding a specific bit for the material. Adding this feature in would prevent me from spending time separating parts or creating different batches to accomplish this action as we use different diameter bits on materials like Corian/MDF/Plastic Laminate. It would also prevent anyone from accidentally sending g-code to the router, which would add cost and waste materials on a Work Order.

I'm adding this as an Idea as this is something I would like to see in the new optimizers, but it was posted in the Forum by Laszlo Pokorny 3 years ago under the General Discussion Area as "Define space between nested parts based on material/tool".
