One of the things that we see and do as a regular assembly method for Face Frame cabinets is to run the construction dado's through the back of the cabinet. This allows use to assemble the face frame and cabinet sides but then slide in the bottom/top/shelves/divisions and then the back panel once finished. this makes finishing parts and cabinet interiors easier while also improving our assembly methods.
What we are proposing is that there be an added global variable that we could turn on to effectively extend the machining out through the back of the cabinet. We started with a fixed number amount, but we do think that it would be possible to formulate it to look at the local cabinet and vary the extension based on that info.
