We have been working on dialing in our tooling strategies lately, and have had great success with a maximum pass of 1/2" while using 1/2" tooling. A majority of the material we work with is 3/4", so that's running two passes (one at 1/2", one at 1/4"). After implementing that, we noticed it overrides onion skinning rules. Through some research and a ticket, we found the options are either a) use tabs or b) onion skin everything. We're having difficulty getting tabs to be effective, where with onion skin we rarely had small parts moving.

Can we implement automated onion skins on only small parts with multi pass tools?
