Formula Material creation not working as expected
Hi.
Decided to embark on the enormous task of setting up formula driven materials to be used in the cut part wizard. I understand that a formula driven material cannot unfortunately be copied and therefore have been trying to find the best way to create the materials which involve heavy repetition by copying cells via the M! workbook. Problem is, whatever is created in the M! workbook is not pulling through to the template library spec group material file. For example, if material 1 has say 5 different sheet sizes, copying and pasting those cells to the correct position to material 2, they will not show when looking through the template spec materials.
This is making it very difficult to setup the materials and I have tried using the ones 'out of the box', but when I try to change some of their data, for example, deleting the formula for handling code to a sheet size, it keeps re appearing. I find the only way to make data stick, is using the template spec materials browser and actually manually (copy and paste) what I want into the box and hitting apply formula.
It's as if the M! workbook sheet and the template spec are not communicating with each other, if that makes sense?
What am I doing wrong?
Also, again to try and save time, is there a way to have the search and replace function only look at the selected cells? It is very tedious to have to go to each cell and change every formula from sheet_material_1 to sheet_material_2 for example?
Thanks in advance
