Foundation Library

We're just getting our feet wet with MV, and was wondering about the prevailing opinion on migrating to the foundation library. From what I understand it's not on parity with the traditional component library, i.e. no face frames, but is it feature complete enough to run frameless production? We are moving away from residential, and focusing on commercial, so the lack of FF isn't necessarily a deal breaker. Can you switch between libraries as needed?

I guess my main concern is that I'm starting to program quite a few custom cabinets and fixtures, and starting to get into the guts of the workbooks, and don't want to have to re-learn how to do these things. If the Foundation Library is the inevitable future, I would rather just start there, but not if it's missing features to the point of being a hinderance, if that makes sense.
