Heightabovefloor prompt

Can someone explain how the heightabovefloor prompt works? Does it have to be in a specific row to show up next to the product angle in the prompts? Also why does it sometimes revert back to a previous value if I've changed it in EDD? I've attached a couple screen shots. Any help would be appreciated
