Hinge plate location for dividers

Hinge plate location for dividers

Up until recently all of our face frame hinges where mounted to the face frame. It didn't matter where the hinges landed because they would be mounted in solid stock by the hardware department.  Since starting inset and beaded inset face frames I need to drill some holes in the end panels. I was able to edit the door subassemblies so they would work at all the end panels. The distance for dividers would need to be different.
Below is the formula used to position the hinge plate in the door subassembly. How do I edit it so that it will work correctly when the door subassembly is nested inside an insert? I'm thinking the bay position can be leveraged to determine if the hinge plate mounts to a divider. Any help would be appreciated.
