How are you handling different sheet lengths with automated materials?
We occasionally need 10ft material for either fillers, FE, doors, etc. and would like to find a better way to account for this in sheet sizes.
In the past, we have gone into the prompts under materials tab and just change something named the material name with "10ft" at the end, this is ok but if you forget to do it on several products it can be annoying once running a work order.
We have also tried adding 10ft material in the formula material and giving it a greater number priority over the 8ft material, this seems to work but not great and usually calls for more 10ft sheets which is double the cost sometimes.
As you see below, this door could be nested like the 2nd sheet and save the 3rd sheet from using 10ft material, but this situation might cause us to spend and extra several hundred $$
There seems to be no good way to account for this unless I am not thinking very clearly. I would love to hear what anyone else does.
