I'm trying to draw my Plan View by Drawing 2D Walls and getting this error "Please select walls that are all connected."

I have zoomed in as far as possible and dragged the corner snap points together, but after this I don't know what to do. 

Also - not sure if this is even possible - but long after I drew my room clockwise and did tons of work building everything on the wall, I realized I need two perpendicular walls coming out from my main wall. So I just did polylines converted to walls, BUT, now when I'm ready to make my plan view, do I need to connect those officially to the original wall? If so, how do I do that?
