How to grow as a MV programmer/Drafter without a drafting degree

Hi MV family,

I would like to hear any experiences or advice from industry professionals about advancing in this field without a technical degree.

My experience:

Millwork helper/installer 2017-2019
CNC Operator/ 2019 Present
CNC Programmer (using MV) 2020 - present
Drafting (small repetitive jobs from a client) 2023 - present

Before learning MV I took courses online on auto cad 2D and 3D.
I have a Business Degree
I know different programming languages including MySQL and excel
I also program and oversee an holzer sprint 1379 edgebander.

My main role is to modify/maintain the library, set up the projects spec groups for the drafter, engineer products, manage production flow, manage some small projects which I also draft and oversee the drafting if I'm not drafting them among other things.

I've had great opportunities with the company I currently work at.

My question is, besides the advantage of all the knowledge you gain from a degree, do I need to have a one move forward or work at other companies?
