So as material prices increase, we are looking for ways to reduce waste. One of the examples is that we utilize laminate edgebanding instead of PVC for some jobs. So it would be nice to have a way in Microvellum to cut parts layed up on the regular thickness of material but at a smaller than 4x8 size, then output the rest of the laminate as a separate piece for running on the saw for edgebanding. Usually there is a 4x8 sheet that is never fully utilized. Not sure the best way to accomplish this right now is. How do other shops handle this?
