Job Opening: Millwork Engineer (on site) in Rochester NY

Jeffrey Ellis Carl Cabinetmakers is looking for a well qualified Microvellum Engineer to join the engineering department with two other excellent engineers. This is a full time on site offering; remote work is not available. The vast majority of our work is commercial: medical, hospitality, senior living, etc. This position is not merely drawing, but fully engineered, often complex millwork projects where the cnc files are uploaded to the shop floor. Examples would be reception desks, nurse stations, auditorium performance venues, and other demanding projects. Engineers work from architectural drawings, client input, and in-house development meetings. Complete submittal packages are prepared with fabrication details, raw material and hardware cut sheets. Once those drawing are approved they are adjusted for site conditions and client changes, materials are ordered and all shop production documents are sent to the shop manager for production. These are most of the engineer's responsibilities.

This position is for an experienced individual, with problem solving skills, holding a high personal standard of quality, self motivated, and takes pleasure in meeting the challenges we face in this trade. It would be a strong plus to have had actual hands on workshop experience, having fabricated the very products that you will be engineering.

This is a salaried position, health care, 401k, and vacation time.

Please call or email me, Jeff Carl to explore the opportunity in greater depth.
