Jr. Draftsman/Engineer position

Randal Displays is seeking to fill a Jr Engineering position. We are a retail fixture manufacturer and due to continuing growth in our business, we’re looking for a junior position in our engineering department. This position will provide engineering support for all phases of our product manufacturing process.
      A strong desire to learn is very important; we’re constantly evolving as a company, and
we design and manufacture unique fixtures, with a fantastic culture and amazing team of
people. Experience with CNC routers would be helpful. Problem-solving and the ability to work
autonomously and also as a team is critical. We offer a workplace environment that rewards

Responsibilities:
- Create and edit 2D and 3D product drawings and layouts using AutoCAD
- Collaborate and coordinate with project managers to resolve discrepancies and complete
projects
- Design and engineer complex fixtures utilizing custom hardware, and different materials
- Review drawings to ensure adherence to established standards
- Make and review shop drawings for manufacturing
- Produce machine code from product drawings
Ideal candidate will have the following:
Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree in Drafting and Design is preferred, but will consider relevant experience in
lieu of degree.
• Resourceful, engineering savvy, able to quickly contort to new guidelines. Open to new points
of view, new information, new ideas.
• Must be a team player/work well with others.
• AutoCAD is a must.
• Microvellum software knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to visualize concepts and articulate ideas well.
• Must be able to read and process measurements, blueprints, directions, instructions, and
manuals etc.
• Very good organization skills.
• Experience in a similar field such as cabinetry or millwork is a plus.
