Long time user with some bad habits, Looking for advice

Im a long time microvellum user who is trying to upgrade and train a new employee at the same time. I have been with my company for about 20 years and have been the main programmer for our CNC and panel saw for all of that time. I use a mix of Microvellum 6.7 and MasterCAM. When we first purchased microvellum the plan was for our entire drafting/ design department to learn it but after about a year we gave up and continued drawing in 2D. I was the only one that picked up on microvellum. That left me with the option of redrawing everything or just using overdrive pro to enter it.  Due to time issues I chose the latter. So here we are 15+ years later and still not producing drawings in microvellum only entering in overdrive pro. Honestly it works for us. We can produce 2d drawings very quickly. I can enter them in overdrive pro quickly and just modify things there and even modify the nest in autocad if needed. Because most of what we build is one-off there usually is no point in modifying our library except for the most standard cabinets.  Im just wondering if there are other shops doing this as well.
