Make Porduct Group from Selection ?

I did a quick search but did not find what I was looking for. I did try this and it seemed to moved the items from the product list view ,  I dont know where they went , but when I click in the room the products are there.
Could I use this to hide items that have already been processed? Is there a way to bring them back if needed to the job list?
