MCP Connector For AI Agents
I wouldn't be surprised if this has already been brought up or is in the works in some way, but looking at Autodesk’s new "Claude for Creative Work" integration for Fusion 360, and a similar MCP connector approach here would be a game-changer. It would allow a shop's private AI (like Claude) to interface securely with MV's AI.
We know Innergy already has some AI integration and that MV is implementing the AI formula helper & chat trained on the knowledge base (& potentially forums?) for troubleshooting, feature utilization, bugs, etc.
I think looking at the MCP connector for Claude agent + Fusion really shows some incredible potential. If our own local AI tools (like Claude) could talk directly to an MV/DESIGN/INNERGY AI, we could use it to help execute library changes without some of the common pitfalls and fix workbook errors without risking companies data or MV's core IP.
Using their AI as an integration point rather than just a standalone chat box would completely change the capabilities and how any of us interested in using AI would work. The goal of the software is to make cabinets and this would most definitely make that easier!
