General question ...
MDF Shaker Doors - Who is machining BOTH sides?? Just the outside face? Or both outside and inside?
In CCL we re-wrote our own shaker the inside first, hardware and border thru cut. We'd then use a PARAMETRIC program at the machine to machine the outside/face (also shimming the shaker area to alleviate flexing) - These is how we had been doing it forever..
Now ... in FL we decided to try using MV MDF Profile Door "as is/out of the box" now. So face 6 hardware machine (hinge cups and pulls), square cut, flip and then shaker and thru cut. There are more and better options built in to try the MDF Profile Door.
So does anyone shaker both sides? Our thought (or wives' tale, possible myth) is the door is going to warp if not machined on both sides. We use HDF (better quality MDF) - Thought only being maybe only shaker / balance the inside for 'TALL' doors? Or add door stiffeners?
What does everyone else do??
