As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented MicroVellum Engineer to join our growing team.
The MicroVellum Engineer will be responsible for developing detailed engineering drawings, production-ready MicroVellum models, CNC cut lists, and shop documents to support our custom casework and millwork projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills in woodworking engineering, MicroVellum, and CAD systems, who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced production environment.
Create, modify, and maintain MicroVellum product libraries, engineering files, and project models.
Produce accurate shop drawings, cut lists, CNC programs, and material takeoffs.
Collaborate with project managers, production staff, and designers to ensure engineering accuracy and manufacturability.
Review architectural drawings and specifications for feasibility and clarify missing information as needed.
Support continuous improvement in engineering workflows, standards, and automation within MicroVellum.
Troubleshoot MicroVellum and CNC-related issues and assist with optimization of machine programming.
Ensure all work aligns with AWI standards and company quality expectations.
Required:
2+ years of experience working with MicroVellum in a millwork or casework environment.
Strong understanding of woodworking manufacturing, materials, hardware, and construction methods.
Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
Experience with CNC machinery and G-code.
Familiarity with AWI standards.
Experience in commercial millwork or architectural casework.
