Lifeflo, a leading manufacturer of hospital-grade furniture, casework, and accessories has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Microvellum engineer to join our team. Engineering is at the heart of our operations and responsible for i) creating new products ii) collaborating with customers to modify existing products to better suit their environments, and iii) working with our production teams to ensure the highest quality final product. The ideal candidate will be customer oriented and well versed in Microvellum with strong attention to detail and willingness to work closely with other functions to ensure superior product delivery. This position requires a physical presence in our Greenville, SC headquarters.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Develop 3D models of existing, legacy, and new products.

Build pure, functional parametric library.

Create and update engineering specifications for products and components.

Solve engineering design problems using analytical and conceptual skills.

Create part drawings and detail sheets for use in production.

Understand basic project management concepts, risk assessment/management, product costing, manufacturing cells, and other deliverables necessary to produce products and components to specification.

Responsible for creating and maintaining bills of materials and routings in Microvellum.

Work closely with Costing, Design, and Manufacturing to design, implement, and improve new and existing products.

Job Specifications/Experience

The candidate must be proficient in using AutoCAD & Microvellum.

Must have 5+ years’ experience.

In-depth experience developing and entering product bills of materials

Experience with value engineering and new product development.

Has a firm understanding of wood product manufacturing processes. (i.e., shop drawings, cut listing, production management, CNC machinery, product assembly, finishing, etc.)

Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.

Project management experience.
