[ENHANCEMENT] More Prompt Data Types
I love that so many users are putting out exciting ideas to make MV better. I have a sense that many of the wishlist ideas out there are beyond the scope of near-term software update planning.
One idea that might not be as difficult to implement would be to add more Prompt Data Types. In the workbook view of a product, column G is set to either blank, a number (N) or a dimension (D)
It would be super useful to have some more data types, like calculator (C) and subassembly (S). For example:
- setting the data type of a prompt to C would bring up the associated calculator for that prompt (even if it is set to a hidden control type like "10" instead of "1"?)
- setting the data type of a prompt to S would either add a "link" icon or make the prompt name a hyper-link (or both?) to the subassembly prompts of the subassembly currently shown in the combo-box.
