Hello, Microvellum users!
Today, we are happy to announce that a new beta build is available and ready for those of you that want to start testing the recent changes. This beta build contains a number of changes and overhauls to existing settings, as well as some noteworthy enhancements to existing Toolbox functions.
Here are some of the changes we've included in this latest build:
- A new setting allowing users to merge Face 6 machining and Horizontal Bore drilling.
- 2 new options to save project materials to templates.
- A new slider for the saw optimizer, extending the time the saw optimizer algorithm can calculate the most material-efficient optimizing pattern.
- Improvements to the stability of stay-down nesting, the accuracy of 3D tokens, and the option to add tabs into a nest.
(This beta has been closed; the build has progressed to full public release. Please consult the official release notes for Build 23.1.0523.641) What to Remember When Using Beta Software
When we say "Beta", we mean that this is a pre-release software that is not a full public release and may be in continued development and/or testing. It is heavily advised that beta builds only be operated within sandbox environments, as due to their experimental nature, they may cause data loss to existing production environments.
If you don't already have a sandbox environment, you will want to set one up before installing the update.
Microvellum software updates are available to users with an active maintenance subscription upon request. To request access, simply create a ticket and select "Beta Software Access" as the classification for the ticket. Answer the questions in the ticket form and submit your request. You will be emailed a link to download the update moments after you submit the form.
