Our XML based ordering 3D Rendering upgrade!

I though I'd share a link to our website that I've just updated with live 3D renderings for the products we sell online.

Our website customers place orders through the site, which sends me an XML file that I upload into Microvellum that results in ZERO engineering work or project setup. I just have to open the project and process the order. Also, as you'll see all the pricing is live, so no estimating either, and customers pay before their order comes through. Our regular clients get a login to save and manage different projects at the same time.

The XML populates everything in Microvellum: the products and their settings and project setup. The new part is the live 3D renderings which allow the users to see their products in their actual sizes, colours, and all available settings that affect part sizes, etc, are all reflected in the rendering. The edge banded edges in 3D reflect what the user will actually get, otherwise it shows the Particle Core texture.

All of the cabinet products on the entire site use only 2 Microvellum cabinet products that I've been working on for years to achieve the extremely flexible requirements. One product handles the piecut and angled corner cabinets, and the other handles all other cabinets on the site.
I've spent 1.5 years teaching myself programming to finally achieve this feature that will help our customers much more easily visualize products, and hopefully give them more confidence ordering.

Of course there's a couple imperfections, but it's reached a point where its more than ready for first deployment!
