PLINE Machine Tokens

Are machining tokens dynamic or static in nature?  For example, I am designing a product with a curved end panel.  Works great until I change the depth of the unit, then I lose most of my curve.  See attached images.  The before is correct at 24" Deep.  The curve section creates a 6" setback "L" shaped end panel.  The after picture shows the depth of the unit at 20" and as you can see, I only get 2" of my 6" "L" shape.  I want the bottom front of the unit to remain consistent at 6" as shown in the before picture.

I have tried adjusting my machine base points, but it hasn't worked.  I tried adding formulas in the points of the plines and that doesn't seem to work (do formulas work here?)  What am I missing?
