Has anybody created a way to automatically rotate a hatch based on a rectangle's dimensions? Like for instance the plywood hatch like this:

 

I would like to have it automatically rotate to the longer side of the rectangle. Problem is probably how it would know that it's actually in the rectangle. I guess I could get away with blocks for now but occasionally would be nice to have that smart feature in autocad.
