We’re running a 2000-era Morbidelli CNC with Xilog, and using Toolbox Manufacturing on a separate computer to print labels. Most of the time it works fine — but occasionally, the operator runs Program A on the CNC and prints labels from Program B. You can imagine the chaos that follows.

Has anyone implemented a workflow or system to synchronize label printing with CNC program execution? I’m exploring barcode scanning as a possible solution, but would love to hear how others are handling this.

Any tips, tools, or war stories welcome.
