QUESTION: How does the Top/Bottom/Left/Right banding in SQL and on reports relate to W1/L1/W2/L2?

For some reason, I am having difficulty seeing how the 2 relate.  I processed several parts with different machine tokens and orientations, and I haven't identified the logic.  I am trying to set up a report with the WMF image and the banding name next to each banded edge marked on the image.  I also see that there are "WMF" versions of each of the top/bottom/left/right banding names, which sometimes vary from the "non-WMF" ones.

Any help would be appreciated.
