We are investigating the integration between a MV drawing and an ERP system. The issue is ...

The ERP system prefers to use the same ID for the same drawing element over and over again, whereas the drawings themselves always seem to have a new ID relevant to the drawing for that exact same element. 

Let's say that element is a type of cabinet ... is there a way in MV to have a shared identifier of said cabinet element across many drawings?
