Shaker door Multitool vs associative parametrics

Im trying to setup an automated tool for shaker doors.  I see it might be tough as im mixing a pocket and just boarder routes.

at our shop we do 1/8th mutlipass 1/4 deep first,
follow that up with the 3/8ths and then the diamond tool to hog out the middles.

we do this to avoid cupping and our vacuum isnt the strongest, so we get the detail stuff done first before there is a chance for the door to cup.

Am i going about this the wrong way? would it be smarter to set this up as parametric rectangles with associative machining and just link it all that way.
