"Stored Formulas" - How to Define

Earlier I had looked into stored formulas but was unsure of how to manipulate them. When it comes to redundant processing of tasks, say combinations of VLOOKUP(...MATCH(...)) or Excel-ized formulas of mathematics like the distance formula, it would save much hard data space in the workbooks as well as potentially speed up processing if Microvellum handles these like a standard programming language, passing in the argument value(s) as one would in a function definition of say, C#.

Microvellum uses SpreadsheetGear 2017 as its Excel base. SpreadsheetGear has the custom function ability that is referenced in MV, so I am wondering if MV's custom functions are set up in this way: Function Class

Does anyone have experience with this in MV? If so, what were the results, and was it implemented in the way described by SpreadsheetGear above?

(For those who may not be familiar, you can access Stored Formulas in the Workbook Designer's Insert tab.)
