For those that have engineers in multiple locations around the country / world, How are you syncing databases across all of them?  If one location creates customizations to a product how do the others know about it and access it?  From what I know there are only a couple ways:

1.  Only maintain 1 database and have everyone remote into it.

2.  Export the changes and import them as needed at other locations.

Is there any other (more automatic) ways that people have come up with syncing?  In a world with abundant cloud services, there has got to be a way.
