The Difficulty of No "Undo"

Please tell me there is SOME work-around to this. We learned in training that you should never "undo" in MV. OK, so surely there is some failsafe for human error, right?
Today I went to erase what I thought was a part I added to a cabinet. I've been working on this vanity for over a month. I've adjusted overhangs, added custom CAD, I've added extra hinges, I've added drawer scoops, I've adjusted heights and positions of each drawer box, this thing has made it back and forth through redlining and has been approved by the customer. I've built out a report and production drawings. It has a TIGHT deadline and I'm almost ready to send it to production. (And that's just the stuff I remember). Then it happened, I erased the cabinet. Of course you don't notice that right away because 100 years of using "Ctrl Z" in every application I've ever used and it looks like you still have it. Only when you look in the Product list do you realize it aint there. So I close immediately without saving but its too late. Now what?? I have to rebuild a month's work, like, today?? Is there really no other way?? Since the cabinet still draws - where is it getting that data? And can I use that data and put it back in the database???
