Toolbox Login Screen - Revamp
This might feel like a small change, and in some ways it is, but a few tweaks to our Toolbox login screen could deliver a lot of benefit...
- The biggest thing you’ll notice in this mock-up is the new sidebar. The idea is to give users a quick way to see what educational sessions are coming up. Since we’re kicking off daily quick sessions tomorrow to help with the OEM-to-BSB transition, it feels like the perfect time to add something like this. Plus, it’s a nice way to stay updated without having to dig through another email. This education and product news feed will stay up-to-date as we release new info.
- I'm also suggesting an “Update Available” link that shows up when a newer version is available. If you click it, you’ll land on the Microvellum Portal site, where you can download the update.
- You'll also notice two new buttons, "New Project" and "Open Project". Adding these two buttons to the login screen will save a few clicks when starting or opening a project - making it a bit more intuitive for new users. If you choose to click the "Continue" button, it would function as it does today - opening Toolbox to the CAD environment.
If you’ve been around for a while, you might remember a UI like this from back in the day. Same idea, just updated to fit what we’re focusing on now: keeping users in the loop about education and available updates.
