Hello, I have an update to share regarding Microvellum compatibility with AutoCAD 2027.

 

At this time, work toward AutoCAD 2027 compatibility has been paused, and we will not release a Q2 build of Microvellum AC that supports AutoCAD 2027.

 

After further review, we determined that supporting AutoCAD 2027 requires a significantly larger scope of work than originally anticipated. This effort would require substantial development, testing, and validation across multiple areas of our platform, expanding beyond what was planned for Q2.

 

Historically, Autodesk has introduced major platform changes affecting compatibility every three to four years. In this case, significant changes were introduced after only two years, and there was no prior documentation indicating these changes were coming. As a result, the level of impact and effort required was not initially visible during planning.

 

Because of this, we have made the decision to rescope this work and review it again during our Q3 roadmap planning process.

 

We understand this may be disappointing for some. However, we believe it is important to remain focused on delivering our current commitments around stability, bug fixes, and planned roadmap initiatives rather than rushing a major compatibility effort that requires additional evaluation and planning.

 

We will revisit this topic following Q3 roadmap planning and provide additional updates at that time.
