Updating to The FLA Builds
Hello everyone!
Now that some of the dust seems to have settled regarding the FLA change, and there seems to be a large pool of users who have updated to a build that forces the FLA, I wanted to see what y'all thought the pros/cons were of floating licenses. I know it's an inevitable switch, but our company is extremely hesitant with updates to begin with. The idea of switching makes several of our team members nervous, especially because we work in a semi-remote area that experiences power outages and internet outages with every stray blow of the wind.
Unfortunately, though, we are stuck on a build with some really annoying issues (text generated in elevations is the wrong scale and can't be fixed, crashes whenever we update spec groups, and a few other hairy things) that are fixed in more recent builds, but those builds have the FLA baked in. We can't roll back to before the build we're on now, either, because we updated to solve other issues.
TL;DR- What are your thoughts and feelings on floating licenses? Have you had any recent issues with implementation?
