who has tested the formula driven materials Beta?

just wanted to start a discussion about this new beta. to me it seems like FDM should make things easier and this seems just as difficult wrapped up in a  different package.
to me we need something that brakes down materials for jobs in a way that makes things simple. think of the things that change from job to job on a regular basis. things that change from job to job for us would be, what color is PL1,PL2,WD1,ext. another thing would be core material. to me there should be only a handful of different material/pointers. i also think MV overly complicates things by needing a new material for every thickness of the same material. we just need something to setup per job the following per specs (PL1,PL2,Ext.)

things that change alot
*exposed color (color name, color code & color finish)
*concealed color (color name, color code & color finish)
      *exposed core
      *concealed core

then i think the betas groups tabs should be more like:
(these options really don't change from job to job normally)
      *Base sides thickness
(options for nominal thickness 3/4,1/2,ext. real thickness is calculated)
      *Base side material
(options for- exposed, simi exposed, concealed, construction)
      *Ext

just some thoughts, but personally we need a major overhaul on how our materials work and this beta doesn't seem like a step in the right direction to me
